Feb. 17th, 2007 07:26 pmWonderful day!
Woke up early and drafted the content for about 1/3 of a presentation I'll be giving on Tuesday. It's nice to have a vague idea of what you're going to say before you say it.
Had a nice breakfast, then headed to the drycleaner and grocery store and got all kinds of wonderful foods, including some smoked rainbow trout which is grand except that it has a few little bones left in it. Such is life.
It was a perfect day for a walk with
mizzlaurajean and
buttonlass. I'm already looking forward to the next one.
Got very lazy after getting back here. Didn't accomplish much, but at least I did some dishes and then made vegetable stock and bruschetta, which I had with that nice Bonny Doon chardonnay (hey, I had to open it - the stock wanted white wine). The bruschetta turns out better every time I make it, which is good; it was pretty dicey at first.
I'm volunteering to become a talking book for State Services for the Blind. I've been wanting to do this for some time, and am finally willing to make the time commitment now. I do have to pass their "reading aloud on the fly" tests, but I have a fair amount of confidence that I can do so.
(Edited to remove the awful poetry.)
Good night!
