So far as I can determine, the Economist always endorses the non-incumbent party.

Clinton, Dole, W, Kerry, Obama... is there a single person in the entire country who actually followed that voting pattern?

I can't imagine it, although I do know at least one person who voted Clinton, Clinton, W, Kerry.
