For drakemonger: the hotel has a free shuttle from the Mall of America, which is eminently busable. I would try calling the hotel to find out about shuttle frequency, if I were you.

I am getting so sick of being half-sick I could scream. What is up with this nonsense?

In better news, I now have a new soundtrack to my life: a loud and constant purring.

Interesting, thanks. That doesn't decide the question of getting a room, but it does provide more data. (I just discovered there may not be a *bed* in the *house* when I get there, which I'm willing to deal with, but might be more willing to deal with after a couple of days off the plane...)

I think Applecon may be at the same hotel we use for Convivial; I have tons of info on the hotel on the Convivial website.
