In about an hour a taxi will be here to pick me up and whisk me off to the airport.
I'm hoping I can convince my cold to stay here when I leave. (TY to those who offered advice. I kept an eye on myself, decided it was a virus after all, but am bringing the meds along with me just in case I need them for something different.)
I hope you all have a wonderful couple of weeks! Please try not to break the Twin Cities while I'm away.
Also, anything you could do about eliminating these #@%&^! Transportation Stupidity & Asininity regulations before I return would be a Good Thing.
TTFN!

Re: Flight
Date: 2008-01-28 10:39 pm (UTC)I have a laundry list; here are a few:
- I want to be able to carry tweezers on to the plane. I mean, what am I going to do, viciously threaten to pluck the pilot's eyebrows? Tiny screwdrivers, tiny scissors, and other such objects, too.
- Why is it okay to carry (8) 3-oz bottles of liquid but not (3) 8-oz bottles? Hell-ooo?
- Why force everyone on my international flight to retrieve their suitcases in order to go through customs, even though the vast majority of us walk right through only to check them again for our connecting flights (and then we have to be rescreened, take our shoes off, etc., because we've touched our checked luggage)? Why couldn't they just decide whose luggage is going to be searched and selectively drag those bags out? We have the technology.
Someone I know got stopped the other day because the tube of toothpaste he was carrying had originally held more than 3 oz.. Never mind that at the time it held barely a tablespoon. I guess it must've been highly potent toothpaste.
Anyway, shockingly enough, they let me come home (leaving never seems to be a problem).
