Yes, I was driving on 35W just before the bridge collapsed, but was at Keegan's before I heard about it. Is everyone else safe?

We're fine at home and kindof glad we aren't down at the Metrodome (as we usually would be). I think I'm gonna post to the mnstf community and have people check in there.

The question that I have been thinking about, as many others have, is how can we be sure the other bridges are safe? The inspections were completed on this bridge. In addition to that there was work being done on the bridge which should suggest that an even more in-depth inspection was performed before the work stated. Yet we still, with no warning have a failure.

While I am not trying to be a doomsayer, I would like to see how the system failed as well as how this specific bridge failed.
