The imprecise use of the word "meme" is itself the greatest meme of this instant - and most of those using it wouldn't recognize it as such.

This tickles me tremendously.

That's exactly right. I tend to refuse to participate in such misnamed adventures; partly because I like to be precise, partly as protest against the diminution of the language, and partly because I think most of them are dumb and partly because I'm lazy.
