Randomness
Mar. 23rd, 2007 11:09 amToday is a day full of errands and associated random thoughts:
My gynecologist:
I suppose it's a little odd to be fond of your gynecologist, but mine is a really, realy good guy. I'm very pleased to be his patient.
More than you ever wanted to know about my hair:
My hair all curls in one direction. I really hadn't thought about this until I got it trimmed today: after combing and cutting and combing and cutting it and generally putting it through a lot of stuff it's not accustomed to, my stylist tried to get the curls back into their usual order by taking a chunk and twisting it around her finger. This always works great on my hair - if you twist it the right direction. (For the record, it's an anti-clockwise downward spiral, which is to say "stick your finger in and make anti-clockwise circles.") Turns out if you do it the other direction it just gets weird.
And now I finally understand why, when I sleep on my hair, even though I turn every which direction through the night, I always find the left side nice and bouncy and the right side flat when I wake up.
Possible volunteering gig:
This afternoon I'm going to the State Society for the Blind to take their oral reading test; I want to become one of the voices of "books on tape." Wish me luck!
It is an absolutely gorgeous day out there - I'm off to go back out into it. Hope everyone's day is going as well as mine!
